Mrs. Warren's Profession with Performers Under Stress:

The Examiner gave a rave review of the production, pointing out that "Valerie Fachman and Katherine Leilani McDowell are excellent in the Performers Under Stress production of “Mrs. Warren’s Profession."

Albert Goodwyn of the SF Bay Times wrote "Vivie  [was] acted by Katherine Leilani McDowell with a complex sense of superficiality and snobbery until the final scene. [. . . ] The mother-daughter confrontation is blistering."

SF Bay Guardian was impressed with the performances, and that "The chemistry between the two women is the best part of the show - they share a strong-willed aversion to the meddling of others and bait each other mercilessly."

i hate my friends with Soft Shell Crab Productions:

The SF Bay Times thinks "The acting is well done and the plot is tight."

Proof with the Ross Valley Players:

Pacific Sun listed this production in their top 10 shows that were not to be missed.  "8.  Proof, an actor's dream with four great roles, lucked out with Katherine McDowell as the young math prodigy and Wood Lockhart as her dead father. The communication between the two, even when across the Great Divide, made for good drama."

Marin Independent Journal reviewer Mark Langton wrote "McDowell’s Catherine reveals a visible arc from play’s start to play’s end, moving from strident amateur to knowing ingénue, with touches that were surprisingly subtle and wise."

The Heidi Chronicles with Custom Made Theater Co:

Ed Brownson from the SF Bay Times thought "Custom Made’s production is notable thanks to Brian Katz’s usually taut direction, a strong ensemble of actors, and innovative use of David Ampola’s set incorporating a screen displaying Heidi’s paintings and photos suggesting time-and-place. [. . .] The performances are strong."
